The group’s CEO, Carlos Tavares, had previously mentioned the challenges the Mirafiori and Pomigliano plants were facing in an interview with Bloomberg, stating that “without subsidies for electric cars, they are at risk of cuts.” Elkann clarified that there were no ongoing plans for Stellantis to merge with other automotive manufacturers, explaining that the company is committed to the automotive table promoted by Mimit, which brings together the Italian government and all industry stakeholders to achieve important common goals in facing the challenges of the energy transition.<\/p>\n
