I am convinced that writing, and then another person reading, are physical pleasures. I speak for myself obviously, but perhaps not only for me. The sense of well-being that a beautiful calligraphy produces, starting from the mind, passing through the heart, moving into the arm, and culminating with the hand and pen, better if a fountain pen, in the very hand that elegantly draws, reminding me that calligraphy was a component of the grading of my early school essays, and I capitalize that.
I add the usual autobiographical, narcissistic, and somewhat melancholic note: I am very sure that the contemporary spread of writing with PCs and various tablets has greatly contributed to the change in perspective towards me by those who once entered into a marital pact with me, but we have already talked about this all too much. After the cold days of winter, carnival arrives, so let’s indulge in some sinful treats. Fried fritters with raisins are one of the proofs of the existence of a benevolent higher being.
Sono convinto che scrivere, e poi un’altra persona che legge, siano piaceri fisici. Parlo per me ovviamente, ma forse non solo. Il senso di benessere che produce una bella calligrafia, che parte dalla testa, transita nel cuore, cammina nel braccio e conclude con la mano e la penna, meglio se stilografica, nella mano stessa che disegna con garbo facendomi rammentare che la calligrafia era una componente del voto nei miei primi temi a Scuola, e ci metto la maiuscola.
Aggiungo la consueta nota autobiografica, narcisista e un poco mesta: sono arcisicuro che il contemporaneo diffondersi della scrittura con pc e tablet vari ha di molto concorso al cambio di prospettiva nei miei confronti da parte di chi a suo tempo sancì il patto matrimoniale con me, ma di questo abbiamo già parlato fin troppo. Finiti i giorni della merla, arriva il carnevale e concediamoci qualche peccato di gola. Le frittelle fritte con l’uvetta sono una delle prove dell’esistenza di un essere superiore che ci vuol bene.
