The text will have to be scrutinized by the European Parliament before the EU countries have two years to incorporate it and adapt their regulations. It is not enough to say that Italy is not opposed.
It’s a battle of years of achievements to maintain, defend, and expand. It’s an opportunity, in view of the June 2024 elections, to not forget that Europe is the homeland of human rights. A home where everyone’s rights are safe. Un principio compartido, pero que todavía no se implementa en muchos países.
Un fundamento que es necesario defender con fuerza una vez más. El texto tendrá que ser examinado por el Parlamento Europeo antes de que los países de la UE tengan dos años para incorporarlo y adaptar su normativa. No basta con decir que Italia no está en contra. Es una batalla de años de logros que se deben mantener, defender y ampliar.
Es una oportunidad, de cara a las elecciones de junio de 2024, para no olvidar que Europa es la patria de los derechos humanos. Un hogar donde los derechos de todos están seguros.
