Abandoned baby in Milan, investigations to find the father. No cases of mothers dying after childbirth in hospitals

No cases of mothers dying after childbirth have been reported from hospitals. The baby is less than a month old and is being cared for by the healthcare staff at De Marchi.

Analysis of the cameras at the entrance of civic number 4 has not yet allowed for the identification of anyone, so the possibility that the father lives in the public housing complex, perhaps in another staircase, cannot be ruled out. For this reason, the authorities have questioned numerous tenants of the building, but have not acquired useful information.

To date, checks with hospitals (through the Ats) for possible cases of women dying after childbirth have also been inconclusive, to verify the story reported in the note written in Arabic, left next to the baby which, in addition to the difficulties of caring for the baby, also mentioned the death of the mother. *If you want to stay updated on the news from Milan and Lombardy, sign up for the Corriere Milano newsletter for free.
