Born in Naples 71 years ago into a noble family, he had a long international career at JP Morgan, living in the City of London, New York, Geneva, and Milan. He had led Credit Suisse for Italy, and post-integration with Ubs, was collaborating with the team of the Swiss bank in Italy. A key player in the most important transactions in the Italian industry and finance, with around fifty IPOs and capital increases, and numerous M&A operations, including the takeover bid for Telecom. With an Anglo-Saxon mindset, always very elegant and with manners of another era, he had a great attachment to his family, his wife Isabella, their two daughters, and the six grandchildren of whom he was proud.
The banker loved the sea, vintage sports cars, and was a passionate collector of Neapolitan views and ancient art, a passion that also led him to support museums such as the Poldi Pezzoli in Milan, of which he was a board member, the Pinacoteca di Brera, and the Capodimonte Museum in Naples.
