Lighting, eyebrows, mouth, and framing: tricks to look good when the photo is taken with the front camera. There are those who hate them and those who love them. Some spend hours posing and taking rapid-fire shots until they get the perfect one, while others look with disdain at the proliferation of selfie sticks attached to smartphones in the most beautiful places in the cities. Some practice the “duck face,” while others comment condescendingly on their friends’ self-referential posts on Instagram.
But even they have to surrender: of the 95 million photos posted daily on the social network, a good portion are taken with the smartphone’s front camera. The selfie is a widely-used and increasingly prevalent tool. Whether we like it or not, we have to learn to do it well. Let’s try to summarize some tips in seven rules to follow.
