Hungary searches for another Italian
Roberto Salis has met with Tajani and Nordio. The request is the one repeated several times in these weeks of mobilization: house arrest in Italy, under a European law from 2009, or at least in Hungary, at the offices of the Italian embassy. “I believe that instead he will remain in prison for a long time,” he said visibly upset.
“They received us at separate times. I do not see bad faith in this attitude, but an unacceptable working method, with the usual passing of responsibilities, and my daughter in the middle.” The measure was “inserted” in the Interpol archives by Hungary after the one that had led Gabriele Marchesi, the 23-year-old co-defendant of Salis, to house arrest on November 21, and whose extradition procedure is pending.
