The Toyota Yaris Cross gets a refresh: now the hybrid is more powerful and tech-savvy. How does it perform, and what’s the cost? by Andrea Paoletti
We have tried the renewed Japanese hybrid crossover with the 1.5 Hybrid engine with 130 horsepower on the ups and downs of Lisbon and along the Atlantic coast, all while dressed in a custom-made outfit by local artists. The warm, soft light of the late afternoon caresses the dunes that cover the shoulders of Praia do Guincho, northwest of Cascais, in Portugal.
Here concluded our first contact with the New Yaris Cross, for the occasion Toyota decided to dress it in special liveries created by contemporary artists specialized in azulejos, typical tiles with which the facades and interiors of many buildings in the Lusitanian capital are decorated.
