A law that was already contested before the vote allows municipalities to build two each above 1,600 meters. But their approval in the regional council will be a nightmare. Two per municipality.
Specifically: 56 in the province of Belluno, 18 in Vicenza, nine in Verona, and three in Treviso. Concerns that the majority rejects, emphasizing that the rationale for the proposed law is focused on zero impact. The opposition is steadfast in its rejection.
The deep uncertainty remains about how the internal power relations within the center-right will be after the European elections and whether a third term will see the light or, as seems more likely, not. And, thus, the unanimous vote on the impulse of the League starts to be indigestible to some councilors. The vote has therefore been postponed.
